POST 10: THE NOTION POWER as exemplified in Brian De Palma's Redacted movie

First of all, Redacted is a film by Brian De Palma, in which he shows, within the notion of power, the action of the military power of the USA in Iraq. Brian De Palma denounces the fourth power and the military power through this film. This film is a like a compilation of different forms of recording, CCTV's shots, documentary shots, even  videos from the Internet. Brian De Palma tries to give us a more objective point of view of the war, than what the Media gives to the people as the information  is controlled  by the government of the USA. In Redacted we see the case of a group of US soldiers, who have seen the death of one their companion, and now they want to take revenge. So these soldiers go to an Iraqi family, rape a teenager, kill them and finally burn them, abusing of their power and even filming it. In addition we can say that, their superiors will try to cover the action taken by these soldiers. And we must remember that a soldier will be beheaded by Iraqis later, taking revenge for this family. At the end, we see the testimony of a soldier(who is an actor) with his friends, expressing what he felt in the war, and not explain in the Media. Finally Brian de Palma shows some images of the war to illustrate the horrors that have been caused by this war. However, Brian de Palma shows us a realistic point of view of the war, denouncing with it the Media, or the Press, the Military Power and the Political Power and stress the new counter power of today,  the Internet.
